This is particularly useful when I receive a brand new GOAT Giannis and NBA 2K21 MT wish to test him out and then immediately shift to OOP2 Giannis to compare shots, rate, sigs etc.. I can't load two Gianni in precisely the lineup so to do this would involve departing shootaround and coming back with another team with another Giannis. There would be no use in comparing since I can not recall the first Giannis from 5 minutes ago.

There were chances floating in the year about proportions of pulling on a particular tier. They've demonstrated that to be poppycock because when the entire package was ensured opals (like NIB), the majority of the players were pulling Jokic, Kemba etc and very few pulling the highly desired cards like Kawhi, Ben and AD. 

So that the pack odds aren't just different per tier, but different per participant. Oftentimes when hunting through your group, you may stumble upon a player and say"yeah, I would like to try him out". 

There should be an option to press a button which says"Add To Lineup" which will bring up the lineup screen with the 8 teams, then you choose the lineup and then drop him onto whoever you wish to replace or into a new lineup if needed, then once you press the back button it returns you to Buy 2K21 MT your previous screen where you're viewing your collection so that you may set the next man in through that method.
