The Prusa MK3 Silicone Sock X by levendig | dsgn is a custom designed heat block sock made specifically for the Original Prusa MK3 3D Printer series. Using a new manufacturing process, the Silicone Sock X is more durable than previous iterations and is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 300°C. The Sock X stabilizes the hot end temperature, providing a more uniform temperature during printing which results in superior print quality. With its custom design, the Sock X was custom designed to enable proper airflow from the cooling fan with also covering the thermistor screw holes so that plastic buildup does not occur on the thermistor screws allowing the user to exchange thermistors when needed.
