Realistic contracts are just the beginning. All 32 teams behave basically the same as now. This is obviously not realistic. Madden could add team direction and front office philosophies (rebuilding or winnowing tanking, etc.) and even team philosophy. and owners who have personal characteristics that dictate what you can and can't do -- the aforementioned Football Manager does this at a high-level, which is certainly feasible- it would add more diversity to the game and help make changing your roster more difficult and rewarding. We need more cap casualties and blockbuster swaps to draft picks. Let us have the option to restructure contracts until our cap situation is as dire as the Saints did this past offseason.
