Vendor Recipes are “secret” combinations of items that you can trade to any NPC with the “Sell Items” that will often reward you with useful items or currency.

Exalted Shards

Since Exalted Orbs are some of the most valuable currency in Poe, anyone playing long-term will want to get their hands on as many as possible. For this reason, this particular recipe is really useful for the later stages of Mapping when you’re reliably farming maps with Elder and Shaper influence.

Identified, a full set of either Shaper items or Elder items = 2 Exalted Shards

or

Unidentified, a full set of either Shaper items or Elder items = 4 Exalted Shards

Poe Chaos Orb

The most well-known Vendor Recipe involves trading a full set of Rare equipment to receive Chaos Orbs in return. This means having a full set that includes:

2H Weapon (or 1H and Shield), Mind, Mitts, Boots, Chest, Belt, Amulet, and 2 Rings, all item levels 60 to 74 will get you 1 Chaos. If all products have 20% quality you receive back 2 Chaos Orbs. Having a fully unidentified set, in addition to the other requirements of item level and quality, will grant you 3.

Poe Regal Orb

A higher-level version of the basic Chaos recipe. A good item filter will slightly alter the highlighting of Rares to make identifying Rares for this recipe easier. And as Regals are rarer than Chaos by a wide margin, you’ll want to switch to this recipe at some point.

2H Weapon (or 1H and Shield), Mind, Mitts, Boots, Chest, Belt, Amulet, and 2 Rings, all item levels 75 to 100 will get you 1 Regal. If all products have 20% quality you receive back 2 Regal Orbs. Having a fully unidentified set, in addition to the other requirements of item level and quality, will grant you 3.

Poe Chance Orb

The least useful of the recipes of the Rare items, I would advise skipping this as it’s not too hard to farm Chance Orbs while mapping, and they’re very cheap to trade for.

2H Weapon (or 1H and Shield), Mind, Mitts, Boots, Chest, Belt, Amulet, and 2 Rings, all item levels 1 to 59 will get you 1 Chance. If all products have 20% quality you receive back 2 Chance Orbs. Having a fully unidentified set, in addition to the other requirements of item level and quality, will grant you 3.

Poe Vaal Orb

A Vaal Orb is great for end-game crafting, as it will randomly modify the properties of an item it’s used on, with all manner of strange effects. Some of the more useful outcomes include creating a 6-linked item, as well as adding useful corruptions as Implicit modifiers to said items. For this reason, it’s almost always good to pick up Vaal skill gems and Sacrifice fragments for this particular recipe.

Poe Chromatic Orb

One of the easiest recipes to take advantage of. Chromatic Orbs can be used to change the colors of item sockets, so you’ll need a lot of them when you’re in the end-game and customizing gear becomes a major priority.

Any Item traded which has three linked sockets, one of each of the three colors.

Poe Cartographer’s Seal

This is a very niche recipe, but it’s extremely useful for targeted mapping on the Atlas of Worlds. There is one for each level of maps (White, Yellow Red) that corresponds to each Sextant. Using one of these Seals on a Map will remove it from the Atlas completion percentage, and the map drop pool for that character. This is necessary for targeted farming of a specific Map. Poe Unshaping Orb

Another useful tool in the Mapping arsenal in Path of Exile. Using one of these on a Shaped version of a Map on the Atlas will return that map to its original state and Tier.
