I discovered about the key exploit and Rsgoldfast
Treasure Hunter Keys (loot boxes), RuneCoins for Solomon's store (makeup, pets, bank space, extra ability bars), RuneMetrics (loot and xp monitoring ), buying progress for OSRS gold game events (makeup ). Events are structured so that you usually cannot get all the rewards without either spending money or grinding an ungodly amount of hours in a short period.
I would argue it's at its absolute worst now. It is especially bad once the marketing Yak Track comes around. The Yak Track was supposed to be the alternative to the uncontrolled Treasure Hunter promos that Jagex runs, but the past couple have abused people's FOMO and makes the battles ridiculously dull to strongarm them to big action skips with Bonds.
I exclusively play Ironman mode there, but last I heard is that they went back to the guarantee of Yak Track substituting TH promos and are biking them like normal even when the Tracks are running. That's just 1 example.
It doesn't affect me much, since I play Ironman manner, but because it seems Jagex is cashing in on purely MTX today, it is getting in the way of proper game updates and is continuing to emphasise the game out quicker.
I discovered about the key exploit and Rsgoldfast also the bans that occurred from that. I have not kept up with the promos such as Yak Track, but it is sad to see them ramping up MTX instead of toning down it.
It's disappointing, because RS3 has the potential to be among the greatest MMO's available, but the higher ups have apparently gotten really slack with it. I was expecting that they would be in a position to ATLEAST use the enormous MTX gains on making the game's graphical fidelity consistent, but it never occurred, even though they allegedly provide their graphic work to numerous third party companies.
