The Age of Enlightenment (sometimes called the Enlightened Age) was an unorthodox political movement that was born in the 18th century. It was a movement that emphasized reasoning and philosophy. Enlightened was the term used to describe a rejection of traditional authority and promoting a new system built on individual advancement. Enlightened thought promoted ideas that were based on Reason as the basis and source of legitimacy and authority. It also promoted ideals like tolerance, freedom, separation from religion and equality before the law. The Age of Enlightenment tried to combat the destructive effects of new philosophies through making sure that all citizens were able to read and discuss important topics. This included reading journals and newspapers and periodicals, as well as subscribing to periodicals and participating in public debates and hosting serious discussions and debates on issues of state and religion.

The Age of Enlightenment period did not have a long time of success, but it did have notable accomplishments. The Enlightened Period produced profound improvements in understanding and knowledge. The Enlightened Period is particularly recognized for its contribution to laying the foundation for modern philosophy. It is also credited with laying the foundations of architecture. This includes the creation of French Revolutionist architecture such as the Montgolsheim or the French Cathedral of Paris.

The ideas of the Enlightened Period are often linked to advances in science, mathematics, medicine, architectural design, and psychology during the late Middle Ages. Some of the thinkers who were part of the Age of Enlightenment Period were Roger Bacon, John Locke, William Hazlitt, Michael Angelo, David Van Gogh, Karl Heckscher, Sir Alfred Wallace, Henry Tielecote, and Peterloo. thai interior These thinkers had a profound influence on the thought process of the average person, but the degree of influence varies among individuals.

The most influential thinkers of the Age of Enlightenment weren't those who believed in a transcendent reality. This included the rejection of God or any objective truth that isn't influenced by human experiences and opinions. The most notable among the great minds who resisted the religion of God were David Hume, Charles Darwin, Emily Dickinson, Christopher Hillman, Sidney Poitier, Albert Einstein, and John Locke. Some of these thought leaders were religious zealots who saw the end of the world as an era full of universal happiness. Others were opposed to materialistic views of life and advocated for a more rational approach.

Leibniz an influential philosopher and reason, was born in Germany in 1797. He began to become interested in philosophy at an young age and spent a lot of his early years studying the works of Plato, Aristotle, and Seneca. Leibniz was particularly affected by Descartes the notion of the mind and body. Unlike many other philosophers of the age, Leibniz denied that there is a conflict between the mind and body. Instead, he believed that our minds alone comprehend reality, while the body merely responds to our thoughts. Leibniz declared that knowledge is the knowing of how something can be incorporated into the world.

In contrast to some of the most radical philosophies of the day, including Naturalism, Leibniz maintained that religion is only a means to make sense of an uncongruous world that doesn't adhere to any common fundamentals of common sense. Leibniz's metaphysics, which claimed that human knowledge was only knowledge of an external object, was frequently criticised for his ideas by fellow philosophers. He was able to focus on his opposition to Reason as a source of knowledge, even after being imprisoned during France's Revolution.

Many strands of philosophical thought were also included in the Age of Enlightenment. Malebranche was among the most influential. Known for his work Descartes Live, Malebranche argued that reason is flawed in nature and that our ideas should be based on personal experience. The most well-known contribution to the Age of Enlightenment was the Encyclopaedia metaphorical, or the map of enlightenment thought. The encyclopedia was first produced during the reign of Catherine the Great and encompasses all of Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, Australia and the Islands of New Zealand and Bermuda.

One of the biggest influences on the Age of Enlightenment was the French philosopher Immanuel Kant. Born in 1790, Kant argued that only logic can provide an accurate foundation for understanding. Contrary to other philosophers however, Kant maintained that the truths that can be known must be self-consciously accessibleand and based on experience. This is only possible by having a subject that can produce truths, and through this subject knowledge of the object is generated. This is similar to Kant's notion that objects are present in nature and we are able to observe their physical properties. Kant's aesthetics system classified aesthetics into three types that are the subjective, objective and the calculative. Each of these categories has its own set of prerequisites.
