How are you getting on? I am a young Russki man who came to America to seek better things in life. In Russia I wasn't wealthy, and certainly not within the middle class. My family, not me per se. As an early adult in Russia, money was not an option. We needed to find ways to earn money. There were many different strategies. Most of them looked like alcoholics asking friends for a few dollars to buy their vodka bottles. The concept is similar. We would seek cash for bread, or to get to work. We were always hungry.
So, I arrived in America. However, it's not as beautiful as New York, Brooklyn, Brighton Beach. This is a place that reminds me of the comforts of home. It's loud, it's dirty, it's packed with Russian speech, the people are rude, it's just normal Russian city experience. I've spend quite a bunch of dollars there, mostly in Russian restaurants and book and music stores.
I love music, and I enjoy reading books. It is now possible to read Russian books online, as has been the case in recent times. So I decided to stop buying hard copy books, plus I don't really have much space in my home. My wife is a bit of an escapist, so I do my best to contribute to her and that includes avoiding purchasing new things that I don't need laying around my house, because I don't have a place for it... Although piles and piles of books looked smart in the beginning, as they grew older, they looked dull and dreary. After that I moved them to my garage.
However, music is different. Music is one of my most favorite things to listen to. My job requires me to drive frequently, which means I have plenty of music. As an Russian immigrants, it's tough for me to like the music I hear in America. I don't like hip hop or rap. It's all the modern music that children love to dance to. The old Russian music is my favourite, especially the prison-type songs. They're still popular even after all these years. Youtube is where everything happens. YouTube is my preferred music streaming site. I listen to it every day regardless of whether I am at home or working.
After some time, I discovered an extensive playlist that included more than 300 songs that I like. Having this treasure on repeat day and night, I have no problem getting used to music, because there's over 300 songs, that's a lot. When I want to hear them while driving but I don't have sufficient internet. It's vital for navigation, driving, and for my own personal enjoyment. Therefore, I make the preparation at home. Now that I am at the top of the list, I take some songs from Youtube and then convert them to mp3 files. After that, I save the mp3s on a CD using my laptop. I then take the CD into my car and listen to it in the. The website I came across that can download a Youtube playlists and print all the songs in it, and each song can then be converted into MP3 format and saved to my personal computer. You can then convert the mp3 file to an audio disc. Sometimes, I make an error and make a dataCD. It's simple to transfer it onto audio CD. If audio files are recorded, it's incredible how technology is working. It's not necessary to be connected to the internet to listen to mp3s, all I need is CD to insert into my car's stereo slot. The music from Russia is blasting through Manhattan while I drove around.
It's easy and inexpensive for you to copy Youtube videos as mp3 and save them to your Smartphone. One of my acquaintances connected his smartphone to the car stereo. It was playing excellent audio quality in less than 2 seconds. He was also able stream Spotify and Pandora radio. It doesn't even require a lot of internet bandwidth. This is something I'm going try next. But I will use only free wifi.
