Dirk Nowitzki Discusses Being Featured on the Cover of NBA 2K22
Other than the cover star, NBA 2K22 MT and MyCareer Mode also get lots of attention. “I'm overjoyed,” Nowitzki expresses his delight. This is an incredible honor to be on the cover with Kevin Durant, who I personally know and admire greatly, and of course, with Kareem, who with his skyhook obviously changed the game and had a weapon that no one had ever seen before, is a huge honor. The Dallas Mavericks star was a member of the team for 21 seasons. The Mavericks defeated the Miami Heat, led by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, to win their first NBA championship in 2011. He was a key contributor to the team's first championship in 2011.
When asked about his team's playoff run, Nowitzki says: "We started playing our best basketball at the right time of the year, and that was in the playoffs, so we had an amazing run there." The run included victories over the Trailblazers, the Lakers, and the Thunder. For us and for the city of Dallas, it was truly a magical run. It's hard to believe that it's already been ten years, but it has. It was an incredible feeling to be able to bring something to a city that had never previously hosted a basketball championship. For the rest of my life, I'll never forget what happened.”
For Nowitzki's Mavericks to advance to the Finals and win the Finals MVP award, they had to defeat both Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers, who were the defending league champions, and the Miami Heat, who had defeated him in the 2006 Finals five years before.” Everyone knows how much I admire and admire the talent of Kobe Bryant, and of course, I was devastated to learn about the accident he was involved in,” says Nowitzki.“I've always thought he was the best player I'd ever come up against in any sport. And, of course, I have a great deal of admiration for Dwyane Wade. We decided to retire together. In 2006, he defeated me in the Finals. Fortunately, I was able to defeat him in 2011.”
Nowitzki, a future Hall of Famer, is the greatest European player in the history of the NBA, and he makes a compelling case for being the greatest European basketball player of all time. He is also the best European player of all time. Nowitzki, who serves as an adviser to the Mavericks and an ambassador for the FIBA EuroBasket tournament next year, has played a critical role in the global expansion of basketball over the course of his career.“When I left Germany at the end of the 1998–99 season, I had no idea what to expect,” Nowitzki recalls.“Starting out not really believing that I could make it in this league, not knowing whether I was good enough, strong enough, or skilled enough, and then being featured on the cover of the Legends 2K MT video game, it's been an incredible journey. I'm overjoyed that everything worked out that way and that I was able to continue my professional career in Dallas.
“Over the last 20 years, the game has become more international, which has been fascinating to observe. I believe the game is in excellent hands. There are a plethora of outstanding young players who have the potential to carry this league for a very long time. e. It's just entertaining to see how skilled the players have become. The fact that Nowitzki is seven feet tall allowed him to spread the floor with his jump shooting. r. He also excelled in the low post, where he displayed incredible footwork and passing, as well as a rare type of ballhandling ability that is lacking in the majority of NBA big men. t. He was a prolific scorer, and his highest average for points per game was 26.6 in the 2005–06 season, which occurred during the season. In response to a question about how many points he could score in today's NBA if he were still in his prime, Nowitzki simply smiled at the prospect of it.
After retiring from the NBA, Nowitzki has maintained an intense interest in the game, both in its present form and in its past and future incarnations. He talked about his collection of favorite players who are currently on the field, which naturally includes Doni, the focal point of the Mavs' offense. Luka is a special player to watch because he is so entertaining, says Nowitzk.“I believe that he is sometimes unsure of what he is going to do next.”To give you an example, I was watching a playoff game this year where he dribbled up and made an unbelievable one-legged three-pointer, and he made it. This child simply possesses a unique ability to engage in exhilarating play. It's hard to believe that the kid is only 22 years old and already playing at an unbelievable level. l. He's been a legitimate MVP candidate for the past two seasons, and he was named to the All-NBA first team once more this season. So, I mean, he still has a long professional career ahead of him.

I admire how he sees the floor, shoots, reads the pick-and-roll, and posts up on little, smaller guards even at his young age. He's a great all-around player already at his young age. At the age of 22, he already possesses the entire package. And that's extremely frightening, so he'll be around for the rest of his career, hopefully in Mavs territory. Hopefully, he will be awarded the MVP award and will be able to bring another championship to Dallas. That will be the ultimate objective. Kevin Durant is still one of my favorite players to watch when he is healthy. A freak seven-footer who can dribble, shoot from any angle, and score from any spot on the field. There are a lot of outstanding players who I continue to enjoy watching.”
When he was a teenager in the 1990s, Nowitzki became enamored with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, a team that had a significant impact on the game all over the world. After being asked to describe his "Mount Rushmore" of NBA players, Nowitzki started with Michael Jordan. According to Nowitzki, "Michael Jordan has always been my number one idol."“After that, it becomes extremely difficult. I'm a guy who is unmistakably of a bygone era. With his body of work, his championships, and the fact that he's still going, I believe LeBron has a strong case for being included on that Mount Rushmore. Kobe feels the same way. That is difficult.”Nowitzki also spoke about the European basketball pioneers who came before him, who paved the way for him and helped him achieve his legendary status.
