This error prevents access to data and needs immediate resolution.

Symptoms of QuickBooks Error 179 include corrupted or missing company files, unresponsive QuickBooks commands, missing software information, and zero values appearing during operations.

Causes of this error may stem from issues with reports, forgetting to log out from the last session, problems with the company file, incomplete balance reports, missing transactions in QuickBooks files, or incorrect credentials.

Fix QuickBooks Error Code 179, you can try the following solutions:

Repair the Windows Registry:

Click on the Start tab.
Type a command in the search bar and press Enter.
Type "regedit" into the black box.
Select error code 179.
Save key information and create and name the file.
Select a registry extension and save it.
Attempt to log in to the bank’s website to confirm the resolution.

Clear Browsing Data:

Open Google Chrome and click on the three dots.
Delete your browser history, including the cache.
Log back into the bank's website.

Log Out of Your Online Banking Account:

Log out from all computer systems on the bank's website.
