Hazardous Waste Water Treatment Plant, Water Treatment Indonesia is a system that functions to treat water from contaminated raw water quality (influent) in order to obtain the standard effluent quality desired / determined or ready for consumption.

Water Treatment Plant, basically divided into several stages, namely:

1. Filtering and Precipitation
Filtering and settling aims to separate raw water from substances, such as: garbage, leaves, grass, sand and others based on the specific gravity of the substance.

2. Coagulation
Coagulation is the process of mixing chemicals into water so that impurities in the water in the form of resuspension solids such as organic dyes, fine sludge, bacteria and others can clot and settle quickly.

3. Flocculation
Flocculation is the process of forming a floc as a result of the combination of colloids in raw water (river water) with coagulants. Floc formation will occur well if coagulants are added to the raw water (river water) and then do the slow stirring.

4. Sedimentation
After the coagulation and flocculation processes, the water is left to stand until the dirt that occurs settles all. After the dirt settles, the water will appear clearer.

5. Filtration
In the deposition process, not all lumps of dirt can be all deposited. The large and heavy lumps of dirt and dirt will settle, while the small and light ones will still float in the water. To get water that is truly clear, a filtering process must be carried out. Filtering is carried out by flowing water that has been deposited with impurities into a filter tub consisting of a silica sand filter or using membrane technology.

6. Disinfection
Giving disinfectant (chlorine gas) to the filtered water aims to reduce the concentration of bacteria in general and eliminate pathogenic bacteria (bacteria that cause disease).

The following is the water filter technology in the Water Treatment Plant:
Reverse Osmosis, Sea Water DesalinationTreatment, Brackish Water Treatment, Ultrafiltration Water Treatment, Mineral Water Treatment, Ozonation WaterTreatment, Demineralizer Water Treatment

Physical Parameters of Water
The physical parameters of water are usually seen from elements related to the human senses such as sight, touch, taste and smell, which include turbidity, color, smell, taste and temperature. The treatment systems that are commonly used are the sedimentation system (control), filtration and addition of disinfectants.

Chemical Parameters in Water
The chemical compounds that are often found in water are Fe, Mn, Ca, Mg, Na, SO4, CO3. If the water contains excessive chemical compounds (not included in safe consumption standards), processing can be done with a filtration system using certain media such as Reverse Osmosis or Demineralier and Softener systems.

Biological Parameters in Water
The parameters are seen based on the presence of microorganisms in the water. If the number of micro-organisms in the water is excessive, it will usually be detrimental to health if consumed. The processing can be done using disinfectants or commonly used tools, for example chlorine injection, UV system and Ozone system (O3).
