Romanesque architecture is an architectural style which is characterized by rounded corners, sharp angles and steeply roofs that are raked. In the twelfth century it transformed into the Gothic style that was distinguished by sharp arches. Other Romanesque buildings include stupas (temples), palaces fortresses, fortresses, granaries stone buildings, barns, and town halls.
