Romanesque architecture is an architectural style that dates back to Medieval Europe generally characterized by semicircular arches, typically in earth tones of brown and black. This Romanesque architecture has a variety of roots, with arguments that range from the sixth century up to the tenth century. There is no consensus on the date it was first created. Many art styles in Western Europe have been developed from the Romanesque period.

This style developed from the remnants of Roman and Greek influence in the region around Aquae Veris, in the northern side of Italy. It was developed during the Crisis (convulsions in the fifth century) during which both the Western Roman Empire and the Roman economy collapsed. Latinistic styles of architecture, including Romanesque were born out of the response. Romanesque architecture has been criticized for its overbearing nature, excessive ornamentation, and its provincial appeal. However, it also gave birth to some of the most impressive structures constructed during Medieval Europe, such as the famous cathedrals of medieval Europe.

Romanesque architecture can be classified into three main periods. The first, the most prolific and refined architectural style, lasted until the 7th century after which it was replaced by the Romanesque Renaissance. It was the result of numerous cultural influences, such as the return to Latin from the east, the collapse of the Western Roman Empire and the barbarian invasion. This period lasted until the fourteenth century, at which point the Renaissance resurgence came to an end.

Gothic architecture was the most well-known architectural style during the Middle Ages. It was the second type of architecture. The Romanesque architecture was combined with the Gothic architectural style, resulting in a cross-fertilization between both styles. Romanesque architecture was distinguished by flat roofs, arched cornices and heavily ornamented interior walls. Romanesque architecture is distinguished by heavy stones and ornamental foliage. In some places, the Romanesque style can still be seen in the present, but it has been mostly replaced by more modernist building styles.

The Medieval period saw the third most popular and most powerful Romanesque architecture. In this time, the majority of what was known about Romanesque architecture was derived from written sources, the majority of which were written in Latin. This resulted in many scholars disagreeing on whether or not Romanesque architecture actually existed, even though most of the information they had gathered came from written sources. However some scholars have highlighted certain features of Romanesque architecture which suggest that it existed in the period but was not fully developed or completed.

One of the most famous examples of Romanesque design is the Colosseum. The huge public structure is inspired by Romanesque design. It has an arch in the top of its roof, which is enclosed by colonnades. It is a monument that has stood up to rainstorms, earthquakes, and even fires. Some of its neighbors used some Romanesque design in their own buildings such as Chateau de Versailles.

Romanesque architecture isn't only found in ancient buildings It can be seen in modern day structures like homes and monuments. The Romanesque design can be found in many pieces of art, including sculptures, architectural designs, stone statues and jewelry. These pieces were created specifically for Romanesque architecture. There are intricate designs on the roofs of many Romanesque churches in Rome. They are like earlier Romanesque structures, however the designs have been updated to reflect the latest trends. Many modern churches incorporate Romanesque architecture in the interior design as well as on the exterior.

Urban renewal or urban sprawl are a common use of Romanesque architecture. สถาปัตยกรรมโรมาเนสก์ Urban renewal is the process of transforming older buildings in cities to improve their efficiency, make them attractive and affordable. Romanesque architecture was used to support the heavier intricate designs that were incorporated into the roofs in the original design of these buildings. This style can be observed in some of the most beautiful architectural works ever created.
